Dr. Sonya Kumar, DMD
Dr. Sonya Kumar was born and raised here in Charlotte, NC. She attended Wake Forest University, where she majored in biology. She then received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Pittsburgh. After graduating from dental school, she completed a one year general practice residency (GPR) at East Carolina University.
Dr. Kumar chose to practice dentistry because it is the perfect combination of art and science. She strives to provide exceptional dental care and create a comfortable atmosphere for patients of all ages. She works to stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in dentistry through continuing education courses and is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry.
In her free time Dr. Kumar enjoys cooking, exercising on her spin bike, and spending time with friends and family.
